On Monday, November 2, the 4th Grade students will be going to the Brazos Valley Symphony at Texas A&M!
Students will hear
~ Violin Concerto No. 1(Mvt.1) by Max Bruch, featuring violinist Woodrow Wang,
winner of the BVSO Youth Concerto Competition
~ Plink, Plank, Plunk by Leroy Anderson, featuring guest student conductors
~ Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev- featuring dancers from Ballet Brazos,
a division of the Brazos Valley Performing Arts
It will be exciting!

Please review with your student concert etiquette!
- Walk when entering or leaving the auditorium
- Remain seated during the performance except during intermissions.
- Go directly to your seat when the buzzer sounds or when the lights dim during intermission.
- Applaud when the concert master enters the stage. All talking should stop at that time to enable the orchestra to tune.
- Applaud when the orchestra conductor enters.
- To applaud, simply clap your hands vigorously. Whistling or stamping of feet is never done.
- Be sure the composition is finished before applauding. If there is more than one section in a piece of music, such as a suite, or a symphony, applaud only after the last section. When in doubt concerning whether the composition is over, hold your applause until the conductor drops his arms and faces the audience.
- Do not talk. Other people come to listen.
- Food, drinks, and chewing gum are never acceptable at a concert.
